You can also see list of Access Keys can be seen by going to our sitemap (access key 's').Again, you will see the top level link access keys underlined. Where possible, we have used the first letter of the link name. If that letter is already taken, we have used an alternative.
What are Access Keys?
Did you know that you can navigate around a web page using the keyboard rather than the mouse. For some people, this is a necessity.
Most modern browsers allow users to navigation to another page by using a key combination. The combination varies slightly depending on your browser and your operating system. Some browsers such as Firefox require just 2 keys to go to the sitemap page:
- Hold down the Alt key (cmd on the Mac)
- Press the letter 's'
To achieve the same in many browsers, including versions of Internet Explorer, you need a third step
- Hold down the Alt key (cmd on the Mac)
- Press the letter 's' (and then let go)
- Now press the Enter key
Note that some browsers such as Safari (Mac) - do not support access key navigation.

A note on standards
Many organisations have attempted to standardise the letters used for access keys. This has proved very difficult because the content of websites varies so much. We have looked at a number of standards and concluded that the best way forward is to make our accessibility options as clear as possible. If you have any comment to make on this website, please email the webmaster.
