Introducing Hampshire Law Society’s new member of staff
4 July 2012
Hampshire Incorporated Law Society is pleased to introduce Alison Plenderleith as their new Business Development Officer. Alison comes to Hampshire Law Society from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors where she was responsible for membership development and delivery of events across London and the South East of England. Alison will be liaising with Hampshire based solicitors and local law firms through a series of targeted visits to ensure they are represented in the best way possible in promoting the profession to their clients and the general public. Hampshire Law Society was incorporated in 1897 and during the past century has sought to assist solicitors in Hampshire in a variety of ways including the provision of educational and social events for its members and providing a means of reflecting the views of its members on both national and local issues to the Law Society or local or national government. The Society also promotes the standards of solicitors, assists in the regulation of the solicitors' profession in Hampshire and assists members of the public in obtaining legal advice through the find a solicitor service.
Robert Sawers, current President and a Partner with MacDonald Oates in Petersfield confirms that "The society is pleased and excited to have appointed Alison Plenderleith as its Business Development Officer. Her previous experience with RICS will prove to be a valuable asset to the society"
