Leeds Law Society
Leeds Law Society (one of the oldest local law societies in the UK) was founded in 1805 for “the protection and advancement of the character, status and interests of attorneys and solicitors practising within four miles of the Borough of Leeds”. The Society was incorporated in 1870 and at that time still had only 33 members. From 1876 to 1920 the Society rented business premises in Albion Place. When the lease of those premises expired the then committee took the bold decision to purchase the adjoining building at 1 Albion Place, for the princely sum of £8,750! That building has remained home to the Leeds Law Society ever since. The Society celebrated its Bicentenary in 2005.

Liverpool Law Society
Founded in 1827 the Liverpool Law Society boasts 2,000 or so members in practice. It is one of the largest law societies in England and Wales. Membership is broad and varies from practitioners engaged in high value commercial work to complex charity work. The Society prides itself at being at the forefront of debate and has been able to communicate on behalf of its members their concerns in a number of areas both public and professional. The benefits of membership are numerous and include Liverpool Law, the Society's monthly magazine, reduced rates for CPD training, room hire, video conferencing, and invitations to social and networking events.

Manchester Law Society
Manchester, a flourishing commercial, cultural and sporting centre, is supported by an innovative and lively Law Society. Today, Manchester Law Society thrives with more than 1,800 members. Their breath of expertise reflects the Society's position at the forefront of Britain's second city, which boasts the strongest commercial centre outside London, the major provincial branch of the Bank of England and more than 60 foreign financial institutions.

Newcastle upon Tyne Law Society
The Newcastle upon Tyne Law Society held its first meeting on the 27th January 1826. We have served solicitors in the North East of England since that time and have promoted professional expertise for over 180 years. We have representatives on many local, regional and national legal committees, organise a prestigious annual legal lecture, have a CPD accredited legal education programme and run a number of social events.
