Hampshire Law Society - Lexcel
Lexcel is the Law Society's practice management quality mark. Lexcel was written specially for the legal profession and allows all types of legal practice to undergo independent assessment, to certify that the Lexcel practice management criteria are being met.
The Lexcel quality mark also addresses the business needs of solicitor practices. Accordingly one of the aspects of accreditation is to encourage effective practice management and client care. There are about 12 independent assessment bodies that undertake Lexcel assessment. Upon Lexcel being awarded, the certificate remains valid for 3 years, subject to annual maintenance visits.
